Sheer white early 1900’s dress with beautiful accents. The neckline has mesh and appliqué accents and the sleeves have lace trim. The waistband looks like it was reattached at some point, and the seamstress who did the reattachment was not skilled. The dress snaps up the back and the snaps have crochet button covers (see close up photo). Around the bottom of the dress are ovals that are surrounded by lace with embroidery inside. The hem has a ruffled edge.
Label: none
Fabric: organza
Best fits a modern size Medium; see measurements for best fit.
Bust: 42”
Waist: 28” (no give)
Hips: Full
Shoulders: 17 1/2”
Length: 48’
Bodice length (shoulder to waist): 17”
Condition: very good, but there are a few flaws; there is some faint yellowing to the lace surrounding the oval accents near the bottom and there are a few faint brown spots on the back about midway down the skirt, and one very faint brown spot on the back of the left sleeve.
This dress has been washed and the spots treated, but they would not budge. It is ready to wear.
