1920’s Heavily Beaded Dress

1920’s heavily beaded dress with the best stylized horse motif!  This dress has so much detail!  There are small beads, seed beads, rhinestones, and faceted glass buttons.  The horses go around the upper bodice of the dress and all the way around the back.  There is scroll wave beading, beading in a cross shape, and beading outlining the tattered (icicle) hem.  The dress fastens on the side with 7 snap closures.   The outer layer of this dress is a silk chiffon and the underlay is a bit thicker, probably a rayon chiffon.  There is a small bit of discoloration on the lower part of the dress, which can be seen in the close up photo.

The color of this dress is black and the beading is a bit darker black than the dress.

This dress best fits a modern size medium/large, but also looks good on the model, who is a size small; see measurements for best fit.

Condition:  great with a few flaws; there is a discolored spot on the lower part of the dress (see close up photo), there are a few loose strings, and there is one faceted black button that is smaller than the rest and is loose
