Beat Up Bowling Shirt

I have to say, this is not a shirt we would have bought when we first started out in the vintage business.  If it was not in the best condition, we passed.  Now, we’ve come to love things that show wear.  Even though someone wore this shirt to paint in, they loved it enough, or were just frugal, and decided to make a large repair to the right sleeve.  You can see the various colors they painted down the front of the shirt.  

The shirt is a yellow-gold color with red and black stripes down the right front and around the right cuff.  There are horizontal button holes, a loop neck collar, and one chest pocket.  There is a button tab on the side with two buttons if you need to make the shirt tighter.  The back says the last name of the previous owner, which is Stites, and Doolittle Missouri Lions National.   Doolittle is a town about 2 hours from St. Louis with a population of 564.

Waist: 43” (measured at bottom waistband)
Shoulders:  17 1/2”
Length:   23 3/4”

Condition:  Fair; numerous spots of paint and a large, but cool, repair on the right sleeve

Model’s measurements are 42” chest and 36” waist.
